Late Summer Family Portrait Session | Moritani Preserve, Bainbridge Island | Christina Servin Photographs

There were a lot of things to love about this wonderful family portrait session! First, the Briggs family are about the happiest people around! They walked to the preserve and when they strolled in, I noticed how much they were laughing and enjoying each others company and it made for an instantly successful portrait session.

We decided to have their session at Moritani Preserve (one of my all time favorite spots for portrait sessions) on Bainbridge Island to take advantage of the variety of the park and different backgrounds. I love the golden fields and grassy areas peppered with old trees. Afterward, we walked along the Waterfront Trail so we could capture some great group shots of everyone on the massive fallen log.

With a little planning we were able to work in photos of the entire family as well as as individual group family portraits with a variety of lighting and backgrounds. From proud momma of four sons, a jet setting family, to newlyweds, to a family with a beautiful newborn baby, the session had a lot of variety and happy moments. I am so fortunate to have met everyone!

With Fall creeping in, I am beginning to get excited about family sessions with vibrant red and amber leaves in the background! I’ll be posting mini session dates in the next week or so and will send out an email to remind you. :)
