I’ve known this beautiful family for three years and my love for them has done nothing but grow and grow. I met Jess when at Island Cooperative Preschool on Bainbridge Island where our kids became fast friends as little ones. Jess and I instantly connected, as she is a fellow creative (and wears many amazing hats)— a dancer and choreographer as well as business owner of MilspoFAN, a fine artist network for military spouses. I love hanging out with her and am always left with the feeling that we haven’t had enough time to talk and do things.
It’s with a heavy heart though that I have to say goodbye to them as they are moving to Hanover, Maryland today. What I know is we’ll always have our friendship that no amount of distance can take away, and many memories from when they lived here. Elly and I are already plotting and planning out our first visit!
For their family session we wanted to visit a park where they spent much of their time playing. Frank Raab Park in Poulsbo, WA is a dream location because it has everything from great views, to the ultimate youth garden (with the coolest summer activities!), and old stately trees…oh, and a playground! Here’s the fun we had during their session. I love the variety of places we shot because it tells the story of this wonderful family and the joy they feel together. I’ll miss you! Big hugs and safe travels. xo
P.S. I have to thank Island Cooperative Preschool on Bainbridge Island for introducing me to Jess and her family. It is run by Teacher Ellen, who is exceptionally gifted with kids and who inspires parents to be the very best version of themselves. Many of us (the grown ups) formed very deep friendships because of our collective experiences. It’s a magical place and if you’re looking for a wonderful preschool, I hope you will consider it!
