I love meeting brides and grooms and hearing the story of how they met and fell in love and yesterday was LOVE overload!! Not only was it my 6th year wedding anniversary, but it was also the day when the Manor House opened it's doors and invited couples to take the quick ferry from Seattle to explore the wonderful option of a beachy, quaint destination wedding at a gorgeous European style venue nestled into Pleasant Beach.
I met so many lovely couples who are in the final stages of planning their dream wedding. Some couples are planning summer weddings and we talked about just what that means in terms of timing for photos, and how the nearby beaches allow for dreamy portraits on the beach at sunset! I also shared my dream of photographing couple depart by yacht or wooden sailboat, and I may have a taker or two! Several couples were considering a fall and winter weddings, and we talked about timing and how weddings and events work in the library, solarium and dining room (they are gorgeous!)
The incredibly talented, Holly Rohrbacher of Holly Rohrbacher Events was standing by to meet with couples and help them begin visualizing and planning just how amazing their wedding can be at The Manor House. She has planned dozens of weddings there and knows all the in's and outs! Fellow photographer, Catie Cleveland and the amazing club and mobile DJ, John Wood of Music Masters were also there meeting and greeting. It was great catching up with my cohorts that are doing amazing work on the island!
Always the most gracious and hospitable host, Yolanda Ferrer (who was awarded Best Server of the Year, by 2017 Best of Bainbridge) and her team were there serving up delicious bites crafted by Chef Joe Benish (who made a brief appearance!), and pampered couples with bubbly, wine tastings, and food pairings.
The Solarium was shimmering with fresh florals and oh so beautiful because of the extensive displays created by the talented landscaper, Lisa Nienhuser of Heartwood Gardens.
Flowering Around (awarded Florist of the Year by 2017 Best of Bainbridge as well) featured some of their stunning bouquets as well!
While I didn't take many photos because I wanted to spend as much time chatting with couples, I did happen to snap a few of the stunning Solarium and the floral arrangements from by Lisa Nienhuser of Heartwood Gardens!
Oh, and not be forgotten are their lovely suites! I took these photographs last summer while the bride was getting ready in her room.
Wishing you a lovely week!! Next weekend I'll be featuring an engagement session at The Manor House in a really special location, and down by the beach. The couple is getting married in the summer and I cannot wait to photograph them!
