Since photographing Grace, I have thought a lot about what makes photographing high school seniors such an honor. The reason is simple: they are inspiring. It's because they are daring to dream big, and aiming for the sky. As a photographer, I have the special honor of capturing this pivotal moment in their lives. One that is full of optimism, determination, and a passion for living life to the fullest.
Grace is setting her plans in motion, to head to the University of Vermont, a school near and dear to my heart, because I attended for post-grad work! Burlington, Vermont is one chilly...no, colder than cold places, but also, a wonderfully vibrant college town teeming with lots of outdoor adventures.
I wish you all the very best as you head off to follow your dreams. You're undoubtedly going to do accomplish great things! But Grace, before you head off to school, do me a favor and please find the heaviest, most ridiculously fluffy coat to keep you warm. -20 degrees F is no joke!
