Day's End Farm

Welcome to Days End Farm!  It's like stepping into the French countryside.  I was greeted by a four year old, friendly schnozzle, named Smiley, and three horses, Kody (short for Kodachrome), Playdate (the pony), and Tino (Sir Valentino) and more than twenty, 100 year old apple trees dripping with sweet & juicy red and green apples, as far as the eyes can see.

Newlyweds, Kristi and Adam purchased the property in the summer of 2015.  They have sought to keep the original feel of the farm while adding their personal and warm touches to the stunning property.  Adam, a Seattle based psychologist, is also a former chef hailing from the Michelin rated, Chez Panisse!

I asked them what they love about Day's End Farm and they explained that it's all about the sounds....

From the clucks of the chickens, to the neighing of horses, croaking of frogs, and songs of the birds, to the dripping water in the fountain, and the thump / plump sounds the apples make as they fall from the tree. Wind blowing through the large poplar trees that line the property sounds lovely! Recently we’ve heard the baby hawks in the nearby forest calling from their nest for their mom. At night we hear owls, and every once in a while coyotes in Manzanita park. These sounds remind us we live in the country. But then a blow from the ferry horn brings us right back to reality as it comes and goes from Seattle.

The two love birds, spend their weekends bottling homemade (and delicious) apple cider and entertaining al fresco with close friends on warm summer evenings.

Cheers to you on your wedding & thank you for the opportunity to photograph your farm!
